Getting Started

Cutting the rebates.

Well lets get started. After doing all of the layout using the offsets in the plans. then I cut out the 20 planks out. looking at some of the shapes I wonder how this is going to become a caone but we will keep on going. I then got out the trusty plane and cleand them all up to just on the line. This took some time because I am not the straightest cutter every to pick up a jigsaw.

The  next step was to cut a rebate on the bottom of 16 of the planks. This was a bit of fun, I love getting on the end of power tool. It seemed to take a lot longer than I had expected. in the end I was very happy with the result.
