Study Time

Right at the time I was about to start building my Kayak I had to go into hospital for an operation on my elbow. This would put me out of action for about 4-6 weeks. It meant that I had plenty of time to study.
I purchased 2 books:

Building Skin-On-Frame Boats
By Robert Morris;

Building the Greenland Kayak

By Christopher Cunningham;

Both books were a great help and gave me several options on how to attack each part of the build. I also spent more time trawling the internet looking for any website that would give me pointers and ideas on how to build this type of boat. By the time my elbow was back to normal I was more than ready mentally to start the build.
